Kerry vs. The Yakuza

I’m a student of propaganda, so naturally I ended up at the Bush re-election site to see what he had to tell the good people. This commercial is beautiful:

“Yakuza” (Quicktime)

Obviously Bush and friends remember how to convey “Japanese” to today’s educated Americans: a gong, a loose representation the WWII era Japanese flag, and a badly altered anime character.

That says Japanese to me right there.
