You’re bloody fired!

Appuk

I admit it, I’ve been a big fan of The Apprentice since season 1, and admittedly like any series it’s lost some of it’s original sheen. However, when I found that Mark Burnett had taken the concept to the UK, you know I had to see how it translated.

I’m sure after 3 seasons here in the US, Burnett learned a great deal, and it seems to show in the UK version. The candidates were more professional, and overall the show was a great deal classier. Our US version is very wham-bam and garish, which of course could be Bernett’s vision of what Americans want (and he’s probably right), but I think of all the seasons of The Apprentice to date, I’d have to say Season 1 of the UK version beats 2 and 3 of the US series. If you get the chance to see it, I’d say don’t miss it. Hopefully they’ll be playing it on BBC America if they aren’t already, and Season 2 of the UK series is already in the works.

Also of interest is another US to UK transplant of MTV’s “Pimp My Ride”, which in my opinion is very, very bizarre.

Pimp

I’ll let the picture speak for itself, thank you very much.
