Why Apple Is Pretty Incredible, And Why Steve Jobs Can Do Anything He Wants To

Oh Steve Jobs. Now widely known, Apple sent out an invitation a few weeks ago for a SECOND special media event, with Steve’s famous last words on it:

One More Thing...

It took a while for this to spread properly, but here we are a day before the actual event, and not only have the mac faithful been frothing at the mouth, speculating on what could possibly be to come, but the mainstream media has gotten into it as well. I saw a bumper for the local nightly news talking about the event tomorrow, and that’s fine and dandy, but the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, and even the BBC have all run stories on this unknown, mystery event.

Apple is obviously the king of hype at the moment, and though they disappointed people with the ROKR, the Nano kind of distracted people from the big expectations. This time around, the rumors of what’s to come pretty much run the gamut from iPods to desktops, but I think the most important thing to remember, no matter what happens tomorrow, is that when Steve Jobs clears his throat, pretty much everyone stops talking to hear what he’s got to say.
