Mac OS X Apps: TextMate

In my recent adventures into the wonderful world of Ruby On Rails, I came across a great text editor, TextMate. Designed for the kids who like to code by hand, TextMate makes life tons easier with a whole mess of awesome features. You can drag a project folder to TextMate, and a window will open with a little side bar allowing you to navigate your directories simply and easily without having to go through File/Open every time. Documents open in tabs within your main window saving you tons of desktop real estate. When writing functions in various languages, you can collapse sections of code you don’t need to see. It’s highly customizable, and definitely everything the standard TextEdit app wishes it could be.
