Reality TV has been around long enough that it’s lost most, if not all, of it’s novelty, so creators actually have to come up with interesting things to do shows about. Let’s see… Fox has that So You Think You Can Dance… and there’s America’s Next Top Model. You know… there sure are a lot of nerds out there we aren’t talking to with our current reality TV programs… wait, I’ve got it:
From the amazing minds that brought us American Idol comes a title exuding creativity beyond anything most of us have ever seen. Ok, aside from the fact that these people are behind it, and we’ve seen them go through this process quite a few times now, American Inventor promises to bring out the crazies. On a tour of seven cities across the US, the show will seek to “uncover the hottest new product and make some struggling inventor’s dream come true.” And of course, as always, YOU decide who stays, and who goes home, and ultimately, who will become the NEXT American Inventor.
Premiers on ABC early in 2006.
