I’ve received promotional stuff from Netflix in the past… announcements for upcoming movies in theaters, free passes to local screenings… but this is a new one! The other day I received an email saying, hey, if you liked Waiting for Guffman (I did!) and Best In Show (It’s like they can see into my soul!!) then you’d like nbt (Never Been Thawed):
“As founder of the Mesa Frozen Entree Enthusiasts’ Club, Shawn (writer-director Sean Anders) brings his love for collecting TV dinners to the world, gathering a motley crew of co-collectors (most of whom are members of his punk band turned Christian rock group) to host the world’s first Frozen Entree Enthusiasts’ Convention.”
Sounds right up my alley! I thought it was interesting that they’d send me an email about this though, considering most of their recommendations are showed when you log in. But hey, you know what? I’m going to play along and add it to my queue. I’ll let you know how it is… thanks Netflix!
Now if only they could start recommending me Bollywood…….
