
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: most new music these days is crap. Crap, or cheap rehashing of greats that’ve come before us. So it’s surprisingly pleasing to find a wonderful album such as Laura Veirs‘ “Year of Meteors”.
I don’t know much about her, but I think she’s been around for a good while. She’s a little bit country, a little bit folk, and a little bit indie-rock, and she’s well spoken in interviews. She’s got a nice voice, and writes dreamy lyrics, and has to be one of the nerdiest looking people I have ever seen.

Wow, cool song. I like the theramin contrast to the nylon guitar. Something to add to my “investigate” list.
I heard that she was pretty too but I don’t know. In that picture, her hair looks like a mop!
