From the Archives: Love Hurts by The Phi Mu Washboard Band

This track was gleamed from the amazing and majestic “365 Days Project” curated by Otis Fodder. It was from a vinyl created by the sorority sisters of the Phi-Mu at a university in Georgia, perhaps in the 60’s.

New Series: From the Archives

Keeping in the tradition of Podcast of the Week, I’m going to be posting a track or two every week highlighting some of the musical gems from the LRHB Industries Sound & Image Library. With the sheer vastness of the collection, it could be anything, from wax cylinder recordings from the late 1800s to a mariachi band I saw in the parking lot of a taqueria last night!

Podcast of the Week: Bjork Podcast

Bjork Podcast

With her new album, Volta (iTunes link), due out in about a week, Bjork’s been releasing video podcasts, available through the iTunes store, with tons of behind the scenes, making of, and interview footage. At one point, if you get far enough, you can choose between good and evil.

MotoMing

I was looking for books on the upcoming Flash CS3 today on Amazon, and I saw a promo banner for the Motorola Ming. I hadn’t heard of it before, but two things jumped out at me: it runs LINUX, and it’s sold unlocked.

I worked with the girl who boned Justin.tv

A week ago, an old co-worker told me that one of the girls we worked with was going on a date with Justin.tv, the Bay Area guy who strapped a camera to his head and broadcasts every second of his life on the internet, live.
