Now that I’m the only white boy on the block, it would help if I spoke a little español. There are tons of podcasts available for learning everything from Chinese to Japanese to Russian and Italian, and even quite a few that teach Spanish. My favorite out of the entire bunch is Mark and Kara of Coffee Break Spanish.
The premise is this: Mark is a Spanish teacher (which he is), and Kara is learning Spanish for the first time (which she is). The twist? They’re Scottish! Not only is the podcast entertaining and educational, but their cute little Scottish accents are just sweet icing on the cake. Additionally, due to their proximity to Spain, they speak Castilian Spanish, not the variety you’d find in the States. Don’t know the difference? Download the podcast and find out!
