I was researching some old patterns for a project I’m working on, and I stumbled across this awesome resource for vintage wallpaper. Based in New York City, Secondhand Rose boasts “more than 1000 original vintage wallpaper patterns…1940’s florals, L’art Deco geometrics, novelties from the 1950’s, 1960’s Op Art, 1970’s Mylars… Largest collection in the world.”
Voted “Best Wallpaper” in New York Magazines “Best of New York 2007″, Secondhand Rose should definitely be on anyone’s list of design spots to see. They also carry lamps and fixtures and other items from design history past, so if you can’t make it to their physical location, check out their wares online to get a taste of the sweet vintage goodness.
