The new CNN.com, or, A Lovechild of Blog & Wiki

thenewcnn.jpg

CNN recently redesigned their site, and I have to say it makes me a little sad. Usually these big corporations have the money to put in to serious design, and news agencies especially are looked to as sources of innovation, since their bread and butter is typography and layout. CNN’s new design, on the other hand, looks like a customized (maybe even ’slightly customized’) WordPress theme.

MyFonts.com’s Top 10 fonts of 2008

MyFont's Top 10 of 2008

MyFonts has posted the top 10 fonts of 2008 as determined by sales, and unsurprisingly they are mostly retro-fabulous. MTV U’s EngineRoom

MTV U and HP's EngineRoom

I was getting ready to watch a fantastic episode of MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” when I saw a commercial for something that looked much more interesting! I hopped over to mtvengineroom.com and watched two episodes, or, webisodes, of this new web series from MTV U and HP (I didn’t know they still made things other than free printers).
